Rainbow Bridge

Dedicated to Quigley and Tia
(Click picture for Cattle Dog Heaven)

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown

Tia Maria

IN LOVING MEMORY,
FOREVER IN MY HEART

Oct 3, 2005 to Aug. 26, 2006

Ressi came to us from FireFly Kennels. She had only as short life with us.

Ressi became ill last year and we fought hard to make her well. After every avenue was explored and after thousands of dollars, Ressi was getting worst each day. Dozens of test, diets, treatments, medications and prayers went into trying to get her better. We had to make the ultimate sacrifice and help her across the bridge. She will be missed dearly, but we are happy for the short time we had with her and know we will see her again. Rest now Ressi, your body is free of pain.

Chunky
DOB-Unknown --- DOD 4-27-2008

Chunky was dropped off at our place in Sept of 2004, with a note stating he was 11 yrs. old and they could no longer care for him.  We took him in and he became the official barn dog. The barn was his favorite place and he spend his days keeping watch over the pastures, barn and horses.  He began to slow down in the last few weeks and we knew his time was close.
On Sunday, April 27, 2008 he laid down and went to eternal sleep. He is very much missed around the barn and in his memory we have adopted another yellow lab named Sam who is four years old.
This picture was taken of Chunky one month before his passing with Gus, a red heeler puppy who is now in Alaska.

This page is devoted to all our furkids who have taken a journey across Rainbow Bridge. We love and miss you every minute of the day and know in our hearts that you await us for that glorious day when we will meet again.
